The Confoo web techno conference for web developers is coming to the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Montreal February 24-28.
Now in its fifth year it’s one of the world’s leading get-togethers for web devs. Speakers come from around the world (UK, Germany, US, New Zealand, etc) and nearly 150 presentations cover all aspects of web development. Speakers set for this year’s conference include developers from Oracle, Githhub, Pivitol Labs, Shopify, Twitter, MongoDB, PayPal, Microsoft, Red Hat, Desire2Learn and much more.
Given the diversity of speakers and presentations, ConFoo says the event is good for all developer levels, regardless of programming language.
It’s quite a pricey event, as three-day passes go for $715, but last year the conference ended up selling out. Canfoo expects about 600 people to attend this year’s conference.
Confoo was formerly called the PHP Quebec Conference, originally happening every month in Montreal and Quebec City. Eventually it turned into a three-day event and in 2010 the name was officially changed to “Confoo Conference”.
It’s program is divided into 14 “tracks”, or presentation subjects. They are: management; security; ecommerce; mobile; cloud; opendata; php; .net track; devops; database; ruby; java; javascript; and html5.
Sponsors this year include Hewlett-Packard, Blackberry, Freshbooks, PayPal, AppDynamics and more. Any interested potential attendees should check out.
