Back for a second year is Communitech’s Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp. The inaugural event in 2014 saw 96 applicants from across Canada, US and Europe vie for 25 spots and compete for $25,000 in funding. This year the stakes are higher, with the funding amount increased by four times.

The Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp bands 25 female founders together for six days to bring business ideas to life. Early stage entrepreneurs will receive hands-on mentorship to help launch their tech-based idea and also pitch for $100,000 in funding, courtesy of Deloitte. Applications are now being accepted and will be open until June 15th, with participants being notified by July 15th. The bootcamp officially takes place on October 1st.

“Sustainable businesses are built on diverse teams,” said Communitech CEO Iain Klugman in a statement to BetaKit. “Communitech is proud to support the development of women in the tech industry and as a result, successful companies in the tech industry.”
