Bill Morneau, Canada’s Minister of Finance, says his proposed tax changes are about “levelling the playing field.” Our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, said last week at a town hall filled of freaked out doctors that “tax changes will not hit those making less than $150,000.” But doctors aren’t the only ones freaked out – small business to the highest levels of Canadian tech are concerned that the proposed changes to corporate tax rates, income splitting, capital gains, and passive income.
