Kitchener-based bitHound has successfully closed over $2 million in seed funding, led by Michael Wekerle, who is the CEO Co-founder of Difference Capital and one of the dragons on CBCâs Dragonsâ Den, and assistance from BDC Capital and a group of angel investors. bitHound is a software analytics solution that is built on the premise that “itâs not hard to write code, but itâs hard to write great, high-quality, maintainable software.”
Dan Silivestru, CEO of bitHound, said, âOur goal is to become a trusted member of a development team, providing valuable insights and actionable recommendations leading to great software. This funding will propel us further into creating a tool where developers can use real-time predictive analysis to create the best software possible.â
âbitHound is redefining the way developers and management work together, creating a tool that will foster conversation among developer teams,â said Michael Wekerle. âWe are thrilled with the momentum the company is demonstrating and believe that bitHound is one of the rising startups that is paving the way for improved code quality and software analytics.â
bitHound was part of Communitech’s Cohort 4 group of companies and the investment will be used to “further accelerate the companyâs impressive growth.”
