BetaKit at #SXSW: Mighty Cast Looks to Take the Wearables for Teens Market

Our Joseph Czikk caught up with Adam Adelman of Montreal-based startup Mighty Cast in Austin, Texas for #SXSW2014 Interactive.

Mighty Cast is a new company in the wearable tech space that produces the “NEX Band”, the “nexus of digital and physical connections.” It connects physical, low-cost collectibles to Bluetooth Low Energy bases in a bi-directional fashion, marketed to the tweens and teens demographic. It also might be the sole wearable band that’s actually customizable, based on different charms.

Czikk and Adelman chat about the SXSW interactive festival as well as Adelman’s upcoming pitch at the Accelerator Pitch Contest. He wasn’t nervous at all.
