Great Place to Work, a 30-year-old organization that evaluates companies on company culture, has released a list of Canadian companies in its network deemed the best workplaces for women.
To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to Work certified in the past year, have at least 15 female employees, and a minimum 90 percnt positive response (from both men and women) to the statement “I am treated fairly regardless of my sex.”
Canadian tech companies on the list include Wave, Wealthsimple, Traction on Demand, Wave, Flipp, and Nulogy. Last year, Nulogy launched a paid apprenticeship program for women developers that could build on their technical skills. Axonify founder Carol Leaman is also outspoken on diversity, and wrote an op-ed for BetaKit on five ways companies can encourage diversity within their company last.
Enterprises like RBC, Salesforce, and Intuit were also among the list.
