Canada’s conference-turned-summer camp, Fireside Conference, is back for the third year in a row.

The invite-only, off-the-grid retreat connects people from all walks of life in the Canadian tech startup community, including founders, journalists, and investors. Hosted at Camp Walden in Ontario with no cell-phone service or technology, the conference invites attendees to actually make connections with people you might otherwise pass at a regular conference. At the same time, startups sit in on talks with lessons to take home with them, from finding product-market fit, pitching to media, and company culture.

Confirmed attendees so far include Canadian Ambassador to UNICEF Zahra Al-Harazi; startup acquisition consultant for Google Sarah Katyal; and iMore senior editor Georgia Dow.

In the past, the event has brought together over 250 people, and featured speakers like 500 Canada’s Sanjay Singhal and Wealthsimple’s Mike Katchen.

ā€œOver the past few years, we’ve pushed the limits of what a conference experience can look and feel like,” said Steven Pulver, co-organizer of Fireside. “We want people to learn about business and tech trends just as much as we want them to learn how to build a campfire or get up on one ski in our private lake.ā€

This year, BetaKit is excited to partner with Fireside to offer discount tickets in the BetaKit cabin, where 16 people can get access to the all-inclusive event for $849 (regular price $949). Get them before they’re gone!
