Slack has partnered with Salesforces to add another integration into its enterprise chat app.
Since several companies already use Slack to communicate with their teams and use Salesforceâs cloud services to manage their contacts and accounts-related information, the integration is meant to build a bridge between their products.
âWeâre always looking to help companies better communicate and collaborate around sales, marketing, and customer service.â
According to an article by TechCrunch, the integration will allow businesses to bring and share data around employee conversations and account information across both platforms. Other features will include the ability to import account details, create Slack channels for specific accounts, and format the Salesforce data in a way that keeps the records intact.
âWeâre always looking to help companies better communicate and collaborate around sales, marketing, and customer service,â said Ryerson Aytay, the executive vice president of strategic product alliances at Salesforce. âOur integration with Slack allows us to offer our customers a better experience by partnering with best of breed technology. Weâll continue to evolve and improve the ways Salesforce and Slack work together.â
Slack says this is the companyâs biggest partnership to date, and the announcement comes during a series of announcements made by the company. Earlier this year, the Vancouver-based company revealed that it is investing $2 million in 14 startups that offer bot services. Slack also recently renovated its Vancouver office and announced its expansion with a new sales and customer support office that will be based in Toronto.
Salesforce and Slack said they plan to build more connections between their products and services in the future.
