On June 1, MaRS is bringing seventeen Canadian cleantech companies to San Francisco for MaRS Cleantech Canada Demo Day.
The event coincides with the seventh annual Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM7), a follow up to the COP21 climate change talks in Paris. CEM7 will act as an international forum connecting high level policy makers, business, and investment communities to drive high-impact action towards global clean energy goals.
The seventeen startups will pitch to cleantech investors and VCs across the world, and network with others in the cleantech space.
“Cleantech is one of Canada’s fastest growing industries and investment opportunities in the sector are stronger than ever before, however, access to capital remains a significant barrier for many ventures. The MaRS Cleantech Demo Day creates an opportunity to maximize the impact of Canadian cleantech by introducing promising ventures to international investors.”
