Slack is officially moving into the enterprise space with the launch of its “Sign in with Slack” feature, which will enable users to sign up for apps outside of Slack using their Slack identity. In a blog post, the company said that it’s a way for its users to seamlessly move between the productivity tools they use on a daily basis. Entire teams using Slack can sign up to third-party apps and services.

“With Sign in with Slack, you can whitelist an entire Slack team as a group of new users, which eases billing and IT administration and improves end-user experience,” said the company. The feature is launching with key partners, including Quip, which allows teams to collaborate on documents, and Figma, a collaborative interface design tool. TechCrunch reports that Kifi, Officevibe, Smooz, and Slackline are also partnering on the feature.

“We always wanted to integrate more deeply with Slack because our products are used together by so many of our customers — especially in media and technology,” Bret Taylor, co-founder of Quip, told TechCrunch. “The two together represent the way modern teams are productive without email.”
