For the third year in a row, Dalhousie University is accepting application for its $100k competition.

According to a report from Entrevestor, the competition is an entry point for the university’s on-campus accelerator, LaunchPad. The accelerator works with ten startups for eight weeks by giving them access to community mentors, as well as $10,000 in seed money. These ten startups will be chosen through the competition.

Applications are being accepted until April 29, and must include an eight-minute video explaining how the business model canvas is used within the applicant’s startup — though there is no fixed criteria for eligibility. “The organizers of Dal’s 100k Competition recognize that no set of criteria can apply to every circumstance and therefore reserve the right to determine eligibility or to disqualify any team that it determines to be in violation of the spirit of the competition,” said the organizers on the website.

During the competition, judges will evaluate startups based on the quality of the pitch, how the team validated its idea, and evidence of traction.
