Vancouver-based Skooli launches its online tutoring platform

Skooli

Just in time for the school year, Skooli, has launched its online tutoring services today. The Vancouver-based company provides an online tutoring platform that matches students with professional teachers in a digital classroom. The launch follows Skooli’s 10,000 user open beta.

“Skooli was created to enable student learning through connection with professional teachers in a safe and secure digital classroom,” said Dave Frey, CEO of Skooli. “We strive to provide students with the opportunity to learn from the best teachers in the world from the comfort of their own home.”

As younger students grow up to be more comfortable with digital learning processes over traditional classroom settings, Skooli is hoping to tap into a growing need by giving students access to licensed public school teachers in the K-12 market, and Masters level tutors for university. Skooli offers on-demand tutoring 24 hours a day with tutors who are verified through the company’s own vetting process, which uses education recruitment professionals to individually verify each tutor. Skooli students can request any times that work for them and tutors have 24 hours to respond.

Following its launch, Skooli is also currently pursuing school partnerships across North America to create custom tutoring programs and landing pages with tutors that meet each school’s individual needs.
