Vidyard, the ‘YouTube For Business’ video marketing startup, announced today the launch of the Vidyard app for HootSuite. The app is available through HootSuite’s App Directory and allows brands to have a deeper relationship with the video content they publish – going well beyond who’s watching and into the territory of how they watched and how they’re socially being shared.
Michael Litt, Vidyard’s CEO and co-founder, boldly stated that there’s “never before has something like this been available for social teams and it is going to disrupt the way social marketers select and share video content dramatically.”
With the Vidyard app for HootSuite, social marketers can easily access their entire video library and add video to any social post directly to their HootSuite stream. The app allows brands the ability to measure a video’s performance in real-time on aspects such as views, click throughs, attention span, and geography. In addition, brands will be able to build customizable calls to action within videos to generate leads, run contests, and connect to other relevant content.
The combination of both Vidyard and HootSuite will certainly help brand marketers truly optimize their video content and understand what’s working, what’s not working, and quickly make necessary changes for increased return on their social media investment.
Kitchener-based Vidyard was founded in 2010, have over 25 employees, and recently received $6 million in Series A funding led by OMERS, iNovia Capital, SoftTech VC, plus and an unknown investment from Eloqua‘s Jill Rowley.
