Toronto-based Betterez, a company that builds cloud-based ticketing and reservations systems in the ground travel industry, has announced the appointment of Porter Airlines executive vice president and chief creative officer Michael Deluce to its board of directors.

Deluce was a founding team member of Toronto-based Porter Airlines, where he oversees all commercial aspects of the business and continues to have a central role in the company. He has been director of Allegro Merger since April 2018, and since May 2016, he has served on the board of directors of UBS Bank in Canada.

In addition to Michael Deluce, Betterez’s board of directors includes: Donald J. Carty, former CEO and chairman of American Airlines; Antoine de Kerviler, global head of rail and ground Travel at Amadeus IT Group; Tal Shalit, co-founder and CEO of Betterez; and Raj Singh, managing director of JetBlue Technology Ventures, as board observer.
