Ted Hastings named President mobile rewards programs Perk.com

One of Kitchener/Waterloo’s most successful entrepreneurs has landed a role at Perk.com. Ted Hastings, founder of Rebellion Media, has an impressive track record and raised the largest private equity financing in Canadian history at $160 million with Cyberplex.

Austin, Texas-based Perk.com announced today that it has brought on Hastings as President to lead the growth of its mobile rewards program. Hastings will also focus on strategic direction, investor relations, evaluating acquisitions and help manage the operations.

“We completed the first leg of Perk’s journey by proving that we can connect millennials with advertisers at scale and proven that a rewards platform increases user retention and engagement which gives more valuable insights to our advertisers. We are pleased to be adding Ted to the team to help us evaluate strategic growth opportunities,” said Roj Niyogi CEO and co-founder of Perk.com.

“I’m very pleased to be teaming up with the talented crew at Perk. They have identified and proved that engagement powered by rewards is the most effective way to improve the connection between a young mobile audience and brands.” said Ted Hastings.
