The popular TechToronto and TechVancouver events that bring tech communities together every month is officially coming to Waterloo Region.
TechWR — taking place in the region with the second-largest startup density in the world — will bring together tech leaders and community members bimonthly for no-nonsense speeches that the event has become known for. The event will also include a community open mic, free beer and pizza.
The event’s first meetup, which will take place at Communitech, features Angelique Mohring, CEO of GainX; Carol Leaman, CEO of Axonify, and Latif Nanji, CEO of Roadmunk. Two more speakers are still to be determined.
