FameBit Acquires Video Marketing Agency Refame

Former Extreme Startups graduate FameBit, a Toronto and Santa Monica-based company that helps brands connect with Youtube celebrities/influencers for branded content, raised $1.5 million from Science, 500Startups, DeNA, Machinima founder Allen DeBevoise and others, last July.

The latest news about FameBit is that it’s acquired video marketing agency Refame, which will expand past the YouTube audience and into other video social networking avenues such as Snapchat, Vine, and Instagram.

David Kierzkowski, co-founder and CEO of FameBit, said, “This is a defining moment for FameBit. We see Refame as a natural addition to the long-form content our influencers are currently creating and we are excited to incorporate it into our platform. By expanding our reach to content marketers on Snapchat, Vine and Instagram, we’re giving brands the opportunity to speak to audiences across other creative platforms in ways that are most impactful and appropriate for each one of those platforms.”

FameBit now has over 450 million subscribers with more than 10,000 YouTube creators on its platform. Refame has a reach of over 40 million people.
