TWG grows team to 85 following acquisition of B House development agency

Toronto-based software studio TWG announced the acquisition of fellow Toronto-based mobile development company B House.

This is TWG’s first acquisition, which now has a team of 85 people with the acquisition. The B House founders and team will join TWG in its Toronto office, which recently expanded to almost 20,000 square feet. TWG is also the home of startup accelerator 500 Startups, Sampler, and portfolio company Nudge Rewards.

“B House’s obsession with product quality and software craftsmanship resonates strongly at TWG, giving us immediate confidence that this will be a long-term success for us and our clients,” said Andrés Aquino, Managing Partner, TWG. “We aspire to build the most elite mobile shop in North America, and we’re proud to welcome B House into the fold as we continue to grow our reputation for mobile product development.”

TWG works with clients like Wealthsimple, FreshBooks, The Globe and Mail, and RBC. The company has also partnered with TechGirls Canada in an effort to improve its gender diversity, and increased the ratio of female staff to 29.5 percent, up 15 percent in the last year.

Through the acquisition of B House, TWG wants to strengthen its mobile capabilities for its customers. Since its founding in 2014, B House has worked with customers like BlogTO, Sensibill, and Slyce create mobile apps, SDKs, and platforms.
