It’s not too often that we get to hear about three separate web agencies in the marketing and development space merge together to form one, big player. But that’s what happened this morning as Powered By Search, a Toronto-based digital marketing agency announced its merger with the internet marketing agency Small Business Online Coach and the web design and development agency NetConneXion.
Small Business Online Coach’s Matthew Hunt joins Powered by Search as chief operating officer. NetConneXion’s Warren Houston becomes chief financial officer and chief client officer.
“This is an important step in our aggressive growth strategy and moves us closer to becoming the leading digital marketing agency in North America,” said Powered By Search’s Dev Basu. “The merger with Small Business Online Coach and NetConneXion doubles the size of our team and more than doubles our client base. It also adds greater depth to the services we offer North American businesses with aggressive digital marketing revenue goals. Our services now include digital strategy, organic and paid search, social media and content marketing, and web design and development.”
Powered by Search will remain headquartered in Toronto with offices in Barrie, Kelowna, Calgary and Vancouver, and clients will benefit in a variety of ways.
“With a core expertise in digital search, social and content, our mission is to connect consumers with deserving brands who are industry leaders in their own right, and we’re looking forward to continuing to do that as an even stronger Powered by Search team,” said Basu.
Powered By Search’s Alex Rascanu said the digital marketing space has become very fragmented, and North America’s top brands are demanding accountability from their agencies. “They don’t want just another agency, they have to be serviced by true business leaders who can become their go-to digital marketing partners.”
The three identities now merged as one will offer customized, high ROI-focused digital marketing services that “turn consumer intent into high quality leads for leading Canadian and American brands.”
