Mentionmapp, a Vancouver-based startup that helps companies sort through the most relevant and popular social media conversations, is offering an internship for a six-month youth employment position. The applicant should be under 30 and have at least two years of experience, with experience with Javascript and HTML.

Montreal

Busbud is looking for an iOS developer

Busbud needs an iOS developer to design and build for Busbud’s growing iOS platform, unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability, and work on bug fixing. The developer should have a bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or a related field and five years of software development experience. At least three years of iOS developing experience is expected.

Ottawa

Shopify is looking for a data engineer

Shopify is looking for a data engineer at its Ottawa headquarters to build simple infrastructure and simple code. The applicant should have extensive software developer experience, infrastructure experience like administering server clusters, and Python and Scala expertise is considered an asset.

Toronto

Ritual is looking for a market development manager

Ritual’s ideal manager “loves a fast-paced environment with ambitious targets.” The manager will source new potential clients, finding and closing accounts, and build a strategy to grow the business within new territories. While the position doesn’t call for anyone with specific experience, the company is looking for an entrepreneurial person who knows how to get things done, a high achiever with the drive to take ownership, and, of course, a fun, charismatic manager.

St. John’s

Sentinel Alert is looking for a front end web developer

St.John’s-based Sentinel Alert, which just raised a $525,000 seed round, is looking for a remote front end web developer. The developer will be responsible for developing new user-facing features, ensuring UI/UX designs are technically feasible, and collaborating with team members. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in a similar role and proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
