Tracey Scarlett is an expert in women entrepreneurship. Over her career, she’s learned what it takes for women to thrive and grow.
“Women in general are really well prepared. They’re educated, they have great ideas, and they want to build businesses. A lot of the times it’s the external validation that says: ‘I’m not the only one in the world doing this, and I’m not the only one in the world doing this while I still have X,Y, and Z.’”
Tracey is one of Canada’s leading catalysts, advocates and experts in women’s entrepreneurship and growth. For over two decades, Tracey has been mentoring, advising and fostering the growth of businesses run by female entrepreneurs in Canada. Tracey also lends her time to NSERC as a member of their council, volunteers with TEC Venture Prize and the University of Alberta School of Business MBA program.
In this week’s #StartupPodcast, Rivers and Tracey chat about starting up, scaling and taking women entrepreneurship to new heights.
