Mark Evans is the principal of ME Consulting, an agency providing strategies and tactics that fuel fast-growing companies. With over 10 years as a technology reporter with a lasting legacy as a serial entrepreneur, Mark holds the secret sauce to startup success.

“The more you tell them the more they want to know, if you can do that, that is great marketing because the essence to good storytelling is creating ones that captivate your audience,” Evans said.

Evans is accelerating the speed at which entrepreneurs grow their companies by harnessing the messaging and branding behind the who, what, where, why and when of a startups conception, and products. In 2015, Evans wrote Storytelling for Startups, a tactical guidebook for entrepreneurs to create their own stories that give them a competitive edge. His experiences have led him to be an advisor with the Next 36 as well as Venture for Canada.

In this week’s #StartupPodcast, host Rivers Corbett talks to Mark about his approach to marketing in 2018 and how he’s structuring the stories of Canadian startups.
