Slack is reportedly raising $250 million USD, according to a report from Bloomberg.

The funding round would put Slack at a valuation of $5 billion USD. Sources told Bloomberg that Silicon Valley-based Accel led the financing with Japan-based SoftBank, and Slack will also reportedly let employees and other shareholders sell equity to investors as part of the deal.

In June, Slack was also rumoured to be raising $500 million and attracting acquisition interest from companies like Amazon and Microsoft, though sources close to the matter have told Bloomberg that those talks have “cooled.”

The company’s last funding round was in April 2016, when it raised $200 million at a $3.8 billion valuation.

Slack declined to comment to Bloomberg.
