SingularityU is seeking applications for the first Canadian edition of its executive program, which connects business leaders in Canada to talk strategically about how tech leaders can tackle global challenges.
The three-day program will include CEOs, deputy ministers from different provinces, and 12 faculty members from SingularityU in San Francisco to lead the program. Execs will learn about how exponential technologies — such as AI, VR, and biotech — are impacting their businesses, while getting access to tools for integrating these technologies and nimble innovation practices into their organization.
Tools that execs can learn include design thinking, lean startup processes, DIY tools, rapid prototyping, the hacker and maker movements, future forecasting, and open source approaches to innovation.
SingularityU started establishing a Canadian presence in April 2017, when it announced that it would launch its first Summit in Toronto.
“Canada is at a critical junction – it has the potential to lead the world and solve the biggest challenges that are out there but risks letting other global ecosystems attract better talent and innovation,” Salim Ismail, a serial Canadian entrepreneur and founding executive director of SU, said at the time. “By bringing the best of the world to Canada, and broadcasting Canada’s expertise back to the world, the SingularityU Canada Summits will help to drive that critical mindset by transforming participants’ understanding of where we’ve come from, where we’re going, and what’s possible.”
The program is taking place at a vineyard on Niagara-On-The-Lake between April 30 to May 3.
