TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) has released the list of its top-performing companies, as part of its 2020 Venture 50 event.

The exchange’s annual program showcases last year’s highest performers of the 1,681 companies listed on the exchange from five sectors: cleantech and life sciences, diversified industries, energy, mining, and technology. The winners were selected based on year-over-year performance in three criteria: share price appreciation, market capitalization growth, and trading volume for 2019.

Venture 50 showcases the top performers in cleantech and life sciences, diversified industries, energy, mining, and technology.

“We are especially proud to recognize this year’s Venture 50 winners, a diverse cross-section of visionary, early-stage companies who have performed well during challenging market conditions,” said Brady Fletcher, managing director and head of TSXV.

The top-performing company across all sectors was dynaCERT, a Toronto-based cleantech company that offers carbon emission reduction technologies. The company’s products generate hydrogen and oxygen and deliver these gases through an air intake to improve combustion, reducing fuel consumption by up to 19 percent and emissions up to 50 percent, applicable to diesel engines used globally.

The top 10 tech companies in the ranking are:

1. Score Media and Gaming

4. Sangoma Technologies

“Looking ahead, we strongly believe that private sector investment is key to the long-term vitality of Canada’s economy and we remain fiercely committed to advocating on behalf of our entire listed issuer client base,” Fletcher added.
