Launch Academy offering free email course on the basics of building a startup

Vancouver-based Launch Academy, which provides early stage entrepreneurs with mentorship and support, has launched a course to help aspiring entrepreneurs wherever they are in the world.

The startup hub is offering a free online course led by Launch Academy co-founder and chief strategy officer Alex Chuang. The course will follow a “chapter” model, and will touch on areas like The Fundamentals of Lean Methodology, How to Construct a Predictive Persona, and How to Launch Your Startup with Limited Resources.

“We have mentored over 1,000 entrepreneurs and we realized that most entrepreneurs make the same expensive mistakes,” Chuang said on the course’s website. “And what we’ve discovered was a lot of these common mistakes can be easily prevented if you know how to design and conduct startup experiments.”

Since its launch in 2012, Launch Academy said it has incubated 400 early-stage companies, who have collectively raised over $80 million dollars and created over 750 jobs.
