Halifax-based SalesRight secures additional $600,000 CAD in pre-seed round

Halifax-based SalesRight, a cloud-based platform that helps B2B sales teams to create custom interactive pricing guides, has raised an additional $600,000 CAD for its pre-seed funding round co-led by Concrete Ventures and Island Capital Partners.

“SalesRight makes it easy to communicate even the most challenging pricing structures.”

Last year, SalesRight raised $250,000 CAD led by Concrete Ventures. Around the same time, the startup received an additional $75,000 from angel investors. This latest capital brings the pre-seed round, and the company’s total funding to date, to $925,000 CAD.

SalesRight was founded in 2018 by Bill Wilson (CEO) and co-founders, Taylor Bond and Greg Toner, to streamline B2B SaaS pricing, give prospects more transparency, and provide real-time analytics to allow businesses to save time and close more deals.

SalesRight has developed an interactive quote delivery software that streamlines sales processes for SaaS teams. The software is built to support the development and delivery of multiple SaaS pricing models, while providing real-time analytics on deal status. Some of the startup’s earliest customers already include B2B SaaS organizations spanning Canada and the United States.

“We’ve built a solution that drastically reduces the time investment necessary to close deals,” said Wilson. “It’s not only meeting the needs of high-velocity SaaS sales teams, it’s ushering in a new era of how sales are pursued and closed.”

In 2019, SalesRight used the initial portion of its pre-seed round to expand its team in order to accelerate growth. Based in Halifax, SalesRight employs a team of around ten people, with its headquarters out of Atlantic Canada innovation hub Volta, and remote team members based in Prince Edward Island and Ontario. The startup plans to use this latest funding to support the “next phase” of product enhancements, which is set to include public pricing for marketing teams and expanded support for high-velocity SaaS sales teams.

“As businesses grow in complexity, oftentimes so does their pricing,” said Patrick Hankinson of Concrete Ventures. “Any time your team is unable to easily communicate your pricing, you effectively slow down your sales process and sometimes even put deals at risk of not closing. SalesRight makes it easy to communicate even the most challenging pricing structures.”
