Hack To Start Ep. 92: Union Square Ventures’ Brittany Gorevic

Hack to Start

This week’s guest is Brittany Gorevic, the General Manager at Union Square Ventures, a venture capital firm based in New York City.

After working with AMEX for a few years, Brittany left to start her own company, gtrot, which was later acquired by Groupon.

Brittany has also travelled a ton – reaching two pretty incredible milestones: visiting all 7 continents before turning 25 and then visiting 50 countries before the age of 30.

She joins us to share her story, how she got into startups, advice for entrepreneurs who are looking to raise funding, the importance of community within the VC industry, and much more!

Hack To Start is a weekly podcast focused on interesting people and the innovative ways they achieve success hosted by @FrancoVarriano & @TylerCopeland.

Our mission is to inspire others and to help them realize that success begins with a first step – an often imperfect, incomplete, stumbled upon first step or “hack” – that leads to something bigger. Most people aren’t sure where or how to start, but hopefully the stories and insights we’ll be sharing on this podcast will help.
