Globalive founder Tony Lacavera kicking off Startup Canada’s Day on the Hill

Globalive founder Tony Lacavera is set to kick off Startup Canada’s Day on The Hill, which will have over 1,500 entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and politicians expected to attend.

On May 5, The Day on the Hill will take place at the Ottawa Shaw Centre, which overlooks Parliament Hill. Between 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the jam-packed event will include keynotes, panels, and roundtables with government officials. There will also be major government announcements, meetups, and policy hackathons to give innovators a chance to get involved.

There will be specific events targeted to entrepreneurs like a pitch competition, where entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch to a panel of investors and industry leaders interested in procurement from startups and government departments, and a ‘genius mentorship lounge’ where startups can ask experts their burning questions about running a business.

Winners of the pitch competition will be revealed during the event’s evening reception, which will also provide attendees with a chance to network with MPs, senators, and Ottawa’s larger diplomatic community.

Early bird tickets are available until March 31. To learn more about the Day on the Hill, check out Startup Canada’s official page here.
