Toronto-based Financeit has hired a new chief compliance officer.

“Dante’s expertise in legal and compliance will be an invaluable asset to our team.”
– Michael Garrity

Dante Tamburro is taking on the role of CCO as well as General Counsel. Tamburro has 15 years of experience at Tangerine, where he acted as VP, chief compliance officer, and general counsel. While there, he managed and supervised the Compliance and AML functions for the bank and its subsidiaries, and as General Counsel, Tamburro provided strategic support to the executive team.

The company says that Tamburro will assist with upcoming milestones, as the company finds itself on the heels of a Goldman Sachs investment and an acquisition of home improvement software company Centah, which set it up for expansion.

Since January 2017, Financeit has added another 58 employees to the team.

“Dante’s expertise in legal and compliance will be an invaluable asset to our team as our company continues to expand,” said Michael Garrity, founder and CEO of Financeit. “We have ambitious goals this year and Dante will play an integral role in our achieving them.”
