Mohannad El-Barachi, Co-founder and CEO, SweetIQ
Mohannad (Mo) is a veteran of all things web, having accumulated over 15 years of experience in cloud services architecture and technology expertise. Since the late 90’s, Mo has been aligning business and technical strategies to help build everything from digital asset management systems to roaming mobile telephony platforms, in Canada, the US, Egypt, the UAE, and Vietnam. Today, he runs SweetIQ, helping brick and mortar store owners leverage the power of online local search to drive and measure in-store foot traffic. His unique approach of taking a data-driven approach to online marketing has allowed SweetIQ to become the leading location-based marketing platform, powering major brands like FedEx, Bell Canada, and General Motors to drive in-store foot traffic through online local search.
Antoine Azar, CTO, Thirdshelf
Antoine Azar is a retail-focused veteran of the mobile industry. Throughout his career, he has worked with multiple large brands to help define their mobile strategy and develop cutting-edge mobile apps.
In 2014, Antoine co-founded Thirdshelf, an early-stage tech startup that has developed the most advanced loyalty and customer engagement platform for SMB retailers. Using Big Data and marketing automation, Thirdshelf enables merchants to boost repeat business by building higher-value, greater-frequency and longer-term relationships with their clientele.
Antoine has a Master’s in computer engineering and broad industry experience at companies like Mozilla, Autodesk, Siemens, MIT and Mobilogie.
Frederic Laurendeau, Founding President, mPhase
Frédéric Laurendeau has over 14 years of experience in mobile innovation. He has contributed to the setup of world-class projects with key industry players, such as Air Canada, Orange Group, China Mobile, T-Mobile, and LG. As a visionary enthusiast in the development of mobile products, he aims to formulate creative and efficient technical solutions that make sense to the users, and bring value to businesses.
He founded mPhase in 2010 to help marketing agencies and large companies like Palais des Congrès de Montréal and Via Rail leverage mobile and emerging technologies as part as their overall business strategies. mPhase also works with tech groups to define or tweak mobile product strategies.
