On November 24, MaRS will officially launch the Work & Learning Cluster.
To celebrate the occasion we will have two exciting panels: one panel of employers experiencing the urgent need for human capital innovation and one panel of startups trying to scale in this ever-changing landscape. The event will end with five Emerging Ideas lightning pitches to give you a feel for the deep innovation already occurring in Canada.
Work & Learning is dedicated to helping high-impact startups revolutionize both how we acquire knowledge and how we put it to good use. The very notion of employment is being transformed at a pace — and on a scale — never seen before. Workers themselves are undergoing unprecedented change, in turn sparking a radical overhaul of how they acquire skills and put them to use in the workplace. The rapid advancements in technology across all industries are amplifying the need for change now.
The cluster operates where education and creativity intersect with training and management. Our team is engaged with more than 200 disruptors out to shake up employment and education to the core. Tapping key players in both fields, it applies relentless innovation to harnessing our most vital economic asset: human capital.
