Who’s on the panel?
Natalie Ruskin — Natalie has over 2,000 hrs of mindfulness training and 10+ years experience as a journalist, programmer and workplace consultant at CBC. She’s a certified professional coach, mindfulness teacher and yoga instructor and her approach is to integrate evidence-based coaching with the ancient wisdom tradition of mindfulness. Natalie helps clients achieve the results they want so that they can feel more alive and, ultimately, have a positive impact on others. Natalie stays inspired by: spending as much time as possible outdoors, singing, being silly with her two young boys, and going on destination runs to explore new parts of Toronto.
Dr. Amber Cohen — Dr. Amber Cohen completed her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has comprehensive experience in private practice, community mental health clinics, college counseling centers and hospital settings. Dr. Cohen’s areas of clinical interest include anxiety disorders (panic attacks, social anxiety, chronic worrying, and post-traumatic stress disorder), depression, impulse control disorders, trauma, and attentional and behavioural difficulties. She works to address concerns regarding self-esteem, stress management, boundary issues, coping skills, adjustment to life events, and grief and bereavement.
David Albert — David is an entrepreneur, angel investor, new father, wanna be pro golfer and avid ice cream eater. Currently David is the Canadian Managing Director at Foodora, where he leads a team of 60 employees and 2000 Riders. Prior to this, David also held roles at Handy, Postmedia and WagJag.
Afraj Gill — Afraj is a co-founder of Dropbike, Canada’s first and largest smart bike-share company. Previously, he founded two software startups; worked at Google’s global headquarters on the Special Projects team; and served over 23,000 students as an elected Senator of Queen’s University. Last year, Afraj sought a nomination to become a federal candidate for Parliament and, for his community service work, he became one of 126 Torontonians since 1996 to be awarded the Sovereign’s Medal on behalf of the Governor General.
