Daraja is a 2-day event designed to connect companies and start-up programs with qualified talent of African Descent.

Daraja (“bridge” in Swahili) will serve as a bridge to connect recent grads and students of African descent in universities and colleges across Ontario with employment opportunities, start-up programs and mentors to help ease their transition into full time employment or entrepreneurship ventures

Day 1 (Feb 23rd)

Student tour of startup offices and the startup ecosystem at MaRS
Personal branding session

Day 2 (Feb 24th)

Career fair (Starts at 10am)

Panel discussions on breaking into various fields (e.g. STEM, Sales and Marketing, Media, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Arts, Non-profit etc)

Networking session
