Canada Foundation for Innovation adds Micheline Bouchard to its Board of Directors

The Canada Foundation for Innovation was created by the Government of Canada in 1997 to help “build our nation’s capacity to undertake world-class research and technology development.”

To help expand its foray into the next phase, the CFI has announced the appointment of Micheline Bouchard to its Board of Directors. Bouchard was previously the President and CEO of Advanced Research Technologies, and also President and CEO of Motorola Canada Inc. In addition, Bouchard has served on the boards of TELUS, the International Women’s Forum and PSP Investments, the Public Sector Pension Investment Board.

If those credentials are not impressive enough, Bouchard is also a Member of the Order of Canada, a Member of the National Order of Quebec, a certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, a recipient of the Gold Medal Award from Engineers Canada and also the Grand Prix d’excellence from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

It’s an incredible resume and surely a welcome addition to the CFI.
