BrainStation acquired by Konrad Group

Toronto-based technology education organization BrainStation has been acquired by Konrad Group. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Konrad has committed to invest $10 million to expand the BrainStation brand, and will also hire new employees to fuel its growth. In addition, a portion of the money will be set aside to support “underrepresented student groups” with grants and scholarships into BrainStation courses.

Bill Konrad, Co-CEO, Konrad Group, said, “BrainStation’s model and curriculum are a perfect strategic fit for Konrad Group’s vision to provide brands and businesses with the resources to succeed in the digital age. We intend to embrace, extend, and aggressively expand the fantastic work they have done by leveraging our scale and rolling out BrainStation offerings globally.”

BrainStation was founded in 2012 by Jason Field, Duncan McCall and Apoorv Gupta.
