AskforTask, the Canadian online marketplace helping users find local help in real time, has launched an upgraded iOS app and a new website to serve its growing community. According to the company, AskForTask is growing 40 per cent month-to-month.

AskForTask connects people with “Taskers” that can help with cleaning, handyman tasks, moving, and general help. They serve 150 cities in Canada; Toronto is its most active city with 10,000 Taskers.

AskForTask’s new app will include an updated interactive map for users to see available Taskers nearby in real-time, and a new trending category that will list the most popular tasks within each local area. Additionally, the app’s speed and efficiency is improved to take the time required to request a task and be assigned a Tasker from a few hours to a few minutes.

“With the sharing economy boom happening right now, this is the perfect time for community members to interact and change the way they engage and make money,” said Muneeb Mushtaq, CEO of AskForTask. “We’re continually updating our service and features to ensure that people are able to quickly find the help they need.”
