Vancouver Entrepreneur Ovey Yeung Involved in Hit-And-Run, Family, Friends Seek Help

Sunday night turned out to be an awful one for Canada’s community of entrepreneurs as Ovey Yeung, a member of Vancouver startup BitLit, was involved in a hit-and-run near BC Place. It was 4 am when a black Honda Civic fled the scene.

As of Monday, Yeung remained in critical condition and in a medically induced coma.

An Indiegogo campaign has been set up to help Yeung, organized by friends Vivian Chan, Ryan MacDonald and Melissa Yan. It’s seeking to raise $25,000.

An update as of 14 hours ago said: “They are still looking for witnesses and have not yet found the driver responsible. At this time, we ask that you respect her family’s wishes and help with Ovey’s recovery by refraining from visiting her at the hospital. We will update you on her condition as we hear from her family. Thanks everyone and continue to keep Ovey in your thoughts & prayers! #WeLoveOvey”
