Twitter Canada seeks new managing director following departure of Rory Capern

Twitter Canada Rory Capern

According to a report from BNN, Twitter Canada is looking for a new managing director following the “abrupt” exit of former managing director Rory Capern.

Capern, who was a former head of partnerships at Google Canada, took over the role in early 2016. He replaced Kirstine Stewart, who left Twitter Canada when she moved on to be VP Media for Twitter in New York. Stewart would later become Diply’s chief strategy officer.

A Twitter Canada spokesperson told MobileSyrup that a search for a new managing director is “already underway” and that “the job posting will be live in the next couple of weeks.” The company confirmed that there were no other changes to the organization.

Twitter did not provide a reason for Capern’s departure.
