Montreal-based mnubo selected to provide IoT insights to Japan’s smart home market

Montreal-based mnubo has been selected to provide its SmartObjects data analytics solution to Japan-based service providers iTSCOM and Connected Design.

CrowdRiff announces visual marketing platform for UGC and owned visuals

Toronto-based CrowdRiff, a visual and social marketing solution for destination and travel brands, announced the release of a visual marketing platform for user-generated content and owned visuals.

CrowdRiff’s visual marketing platform allows users to source user-generated and owned visuals, and publish them to digital and offline marketing channels. CrowdRiff said that users can publish visuals to different apps including content management systems, digital asset managers, and social media management tools.

“Visuals are the language of the digital era, and marketers increasingly need photos and videos to connect with their audiences,” said Dan Halowack, CEO of CrowdRiff. “Our newest platform gives marketers the ability to source, manage and publish all their visuals from one central place, from the Instagram video posted by a traveler to the perfect beach photo commissioned from a professional photographer.”

At the Destination International CMO Summit held in Denver, Colorado, Halowack also announced that CrowdRiff’s customer base is expanding into Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. In March 2016, CrowdRiff raised a $2.6 million seed round from BDC Capital, Gibraltar Ventures, High Alpha Capital, and Foundation Capital. The company also participated in C100’s 48 Hours In The Valley in December 2015.
