Stressed? There’s a wearable for that

The wearable tech space in on the rise as many manufacturers are launching new products. Research firm IDC recently predicted that we should expect to see “hockey stick” growth over the next five years as the market explodes, stating that almost 8.5 million wearable devices will have shipped into Canada by 2018.

Tom Emrich, BetaKit Senior Editor and our resident wearable expert, appeared on CTV’s Canada AM yesterday to discuss a number of new wearables available, specifically Spire, Moodmetric’s smart ring that measures your electrodermal activity to indicate your emotional state, and smart jewelry maker Cuff.
