PopRX partnering with Ask The Doctor on its ATD Works platform

After Ask The Doctor announced that it was releasing a virtual healthcare platform for employers in Ontario, it’s clear that the company is keeping things Canadian as PopRx is the Canadian startup behind its prescription fulfillment offering.

PopRX will be providing the ATDWorks platform with prescription fulfillment and delivery across the GTA area directly to the workplace. The company will offer discounts on the dispensing fee, and as ATDWorks’ primary pharmacy partner, will offer same-day delivery to companies in the GTA with corporate discount rates.

“These kind of corporate drug benefit discount and accessibility programs are typically only available to larger corporations with dedicated program managers,” said Adam Levy, chief sales and marketing officer at PopRx. “PopRx now makes this service available to all business in GTA, regardless of size. Together with ATD Works, PopRx will help reduce drug costs and increase employee benefits for companies in the GTA area.”

Levy noted that the two companies will work well together as Canadian healthtech startups step up to remove the strain on Canadian health care systems that aren’t as quick to adopt innovative solutions. “Health tech is a relatively new field and has seen much progress in the last few years, but has often been overshadowed by more popular mainstream platforms like Uber and AirBnB, which changed how people interact with technology in their lives,” said Levy. “PopRx also sees this as an opportunity to help companies keep their employees healthy while reducing costs and unnecessary displacement.”
