Ottawa-based Fusebill raises $6 million Series A to automate financial processes for SMBs

Fusebill, a software platform that automates manual accounting processes for small businesses, announced a $6 million Series A.

Kent Thexton, general partner at ScaleUp Ventures, and Pratik Budhdev, principal at Langdell Investments, will join Fusebill’s Board of Directors. Thexton will act as chairman of the board. The company plans to use the funding for product development and accelerating global expansion in sales.

“We are very excited to have both Kent and Pratik on our Board,” said Tyler Eyamie, CEO of Fusebill. “Their expertise with developing high-growth technology companies in the billing and subscription monetization space will be instrumental to the next stage of our success.”

In the past, the company has also received funding from OMERS Ventures and BDC Capital. Fusebill’s cloud-based platform works to simplify subscription, one-off and customized billing management for small businesses.
