Notman House and La Gare partner with Startup Canada to expand co-working opportunities in Montreal

On the road in Montreal yesterday as part of its #EveryEntrepreneur Tour, Startup Canada announced a partnership with two of the city’s best-known co-working spaces: Notman House and La Gare.

The non-profit organization announced that each co-working space will have room made available to entrepreneurs with a Startup Canada Passport – La Gare will provide a hot desk and Notman house meeting room vouchers.

“We’ve always wanted to build a community filled with passionate people who could support each other,” said Stéphanie Brisson, co-founder of La Gare. “We want to create a welcoming space for freelancers, startups and small businesses to mix and mingle. Our goal is simple: to accelerate serendipity. We believe that the right environment can allow people to thrive above their own expectations. ”

Support for the entrepreneurial hubs comes through Startup Canada’s Startup Space Fund, with each chosen for their innovative space and additional benefits provided to Startup Canada members.

“The partnerships established through the Startup Canada Startup Space Fund will give entrepreneurs living in and travelling to Montreal easy access to innovative places to work,” said Victoria Lennox, CEO of Startup Canada. “It’s another step forward in connecting entrepreneurs to local support and showcasing what Quebec has to offer.”
