Moneris Solutions Corporation, a one of North America’s largest providers of payment processing solutions, has inked a deal with Toronto-based startup TouchBistro to to deliver a reliable payment processing system integrated with TouchBistro’s point-of-sale and restaurant management software.
Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
We last wrote about TouchBistro in late August when the Toronto-based company reached a partnership with another large global payments company, PayPal Canada. Then the two companies joined forces so people can check in to restaurants and cafes when they use PayPal’s mobile application, allowing their name and profile picture showing displayed at the point of sale for extra security.
Now TouchBistro has joined forces with Moneris, the company that has over 350,000 merchant clients. “Moneris is continually committed to providing restaurant merchants with innovative and cost-effective ways to optimize their payment solutions,” said Moneris Solutions’ Jeff Guthrie. “Our partnership with TouchBistro positions Moneris as a one-stop-shop for Canadian restaurant owners looking for efficient, integrated solutions to manage their businesses with greater ease and speed, while meeting their unique merchant payment needs.”
TouchBistro is a restaurant POS solution that operates on the iPad platform, and is specifically designed for small- and medium-sized restaurants to simplify their reservation management, menu browsing, and table and order management.

Under the partnership agreement, Moneris will be distributing TouchBistro license credits to prospective TouchBistro users and Moneris merchants.
