MaRS takes its FinTech community national with #FinTechCA series

FinTechCA

FinTech is one of the hottest tech sectors in Canada, and with a new event series, MaRS is looking to capitalize on the interest. Taking place in three cities across Canada – Vancouver, Ottawa, and Montréal – the #FinTechCA series will feature fireside chats and keynotes speaking to the latest technology trends and regulatory changes affecting financial services.

“With the financial technology industry in Canada growing so rapidly, it’s critical that FinTech innovators across the country are connecting, collaborating, and sharing ideas,” Adam Nanjee, head of MaRS FinTech, told BetaKit. “The FinTechCA series is an opportunity to bring these key industry players together on a national scale.”

The event series will kick off in Vancouver this Thursday, with Monique Morden, Lendified’s Chief Risk Officer as the opening keynote, and panelists from Zafin, Micro Capital, BDC IT Venture Fund, Information Venture Partners, and Poetic. Montréal is next on October 13th, followed by Ottawa October 19th.
