The company, which is focused on providing data and tech solutions to help companies in global financial services, will use the funding to invest in its Aspire Gateway technology infrastructure solution, which connects alternative and marketplace lenders with institutional capital. The platform provides data analytics, funding, and a reporting infrastructure for these lenders.

The funding was led by by existing shareholders, including company founders David Fry and Mark Lecker, and new strategic investors including Globalive Capital.

“We are excited with the interest we received on this equity raise, and are closing with a very high quality group of strategic investors”, said David Fry, co-founder and CEO, Aspire. “The diversity and strength of this investor group speaks to the belief in the value of the Financial Technology we are creating at Aspire.”

New investor Craig Marthinsen will be joining the team as an advisor, and is the former Head of Canada for Markit Group. He has 25 years of credit and fixed income sales for global banks in London, New York, and Toronto.
