Robin is your personal concierge for concerts. We believe that live events have the power to change your life, so we’re re-imagining the way you get tickets to see your favourite artists. We connect fans directly to the artists they love, and subsequently help artists understand demand data in advance of announcing their next big show. Come help us build the future of live entertainment!

We are a young start-up with a ton of experience in both entertainment and technology. You will be joining a very small enthusiastic team and as a result will be rewarded with a lot of responsibility to shape and develop our product, making decisions that will impact the success of this company for many years to come. You will work with our CTO and our contractors to help achieve technical targets and milestones. We want someone who can commit to writing and owning quality code, and also is looking to grow personally and professionally over the course of their time at Robin.

We work and play as a team. Your opinion will always be heard and respected - and we hope you can push us to think bigger. You’ll never be bored and you’ll always be challenged to step up your game. We’re incredibly passionate about technology and the power it has to improve our lives. If you want to join an exciting team with big ambitions, please apply.

We use best-of-breed modern web technologies and frameworks such as React/Redux, PostgreSQL, Apache Solr, and Docker/Kubernetes. Being technology-agnostic we are not tied to one particular way of doing things. We are constantly looking to improve and use the best tooling available to get the job done - if you see a way to do something better or use a different technology you will have the opportunity to affect those changes again and again.

Work with our CTO, various contractors and other hires to implement web and mobile applications that provide a great user experience
A little bit of everything - collaboratively make key decisions regarding architecture, development strategy and feature implementation
Design, implement, and test software solutions that enhance our customer's experience
Write declarative tests that establish confidence in our codebase
Have a real voice in our everyday technical decisions

Solid knowledge of the most current JavaScript frameworks (with a preference towards React/Redux)
Experience working with JavaScript, and creating web applications using HTML and SCSS
Experience working in small, high-velocity teams
Degree in a technical field is nice, but not essential. We're more concerned with your experience than your education.
An understanding and interest in continuous delivery and modern webapp deployment
An understanding of UX principles with a focus on clean, simple, and clear interface design
Bonus for applicants who actively contribute to open source projects or have a public github account.
Honesty, humility, and the ability to say “I don’t know”
A commitment to continuous learning
Someone who not only owns what they do, but loves it too

Fun, casual work environment
Flexible work hours
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, close to transit
Casual office with no dress code
Equity incentive plan, so you’ll own a piece
Team activities, adventures and retreats
Concert ticket allowance (or we’ll find a way to get you in!)
