Globalive’s charity arm hosting social enterprise pitch competition with $60,000 in prizes

The SHAMBA Foundation, Toronto + Acumen and SVP Toronto are hosting a pitch competition aimed at social enterprises on June 16 with $60,000 in prizes up for grabs.

The SHAMBA Foundation, Globalive’s charity arm, is working with the two organizations dedicated to supporting social enterprises with capital to host the Pitch For Impact pitch competition at the MaRS Discovery District. The pitch competition invites charities, non-profits, and for-profit social enterprise startups looking to enhance their social impact.

Pitch For Impact is awarding three prizes valued at $20,000 each — the Creator award for early stage startups with a proven model; and the Evolver and Scaler award, for organizations in the expansion stage of development enhancing their current service.

The competition is totally volunteer-run with proceeds from ticket sales being used to make up a part of the award fund. Tickets for the event are available here.
