Futurpreneur Canada Wants Your Startup to Represent Canada at ‘Get in the Ring’

Futurpreneur Canada, formerly the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) wants to know if your startup can “get in the ring”.

Particularly, “are you ready to go head-to-head with the world’s top entrepreneurs and pitch your big idea to investors, customers and potential clients?”

Get in the Ring is a start-up pitch competition founded by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship in the Netherlands. Furturepreneur Canada is looking for Canadian startups to apply here and submit a short video before September 17 for a chance to represent Canada at the Get in the Ring Regional Finals in Kansas City. The chosen startup will also represent the nation at the International Finals in Rotterdam, Netherlands during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November.

The winner will also win expense-paid trips to Kansas City for the regional finals, and if applicable, The American Startup Clash on November 6-7 and to Rotterdam, Netherlands, for the global finals being held November 21, 2014.

Application will be judged from September 19-26 and on October 10 five Canadian finalists will be announced and invited to Kansas City. Whichever startup wins in Kansas City will experience the real treat on November 21. That’s when the winning North American entrepreneur will travel to compete in the international finals in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he or she will compete against seven other entrepreneurs for a chance at more than $1 million in angel funding.
